A decent sketch of some of the events leading up to Lenin's putsch, but the conclusion is hardly merited. Unless we consider mass murder and mass incarceration to be "the creative forces of the Russian people" it's clear the Soviet dictatorship established by Lenin and inherited by Stalin was a catastrophe from start to finish, with forced industrialization, a horrifically foolish collectivization policy that led to mass starvation, and social conditions in which everyone spied on, and denounced, everyone else. As for "creative forces" most of the Soviet period was spent making very inferior copies of Western goods.
