A very good article, thanks for writing. While it’s true that Facebook is increasingly like a public utility (and we don’t permit people to toss poison into drinking water) it’s impossible to see how a company with global reach can effectively be regulated by one country — especially when that one country is as deeply dysfunctional and increasingly right-wing as today’s USA.
