A well-written article, but personally the only way I'd ever go to Disneyland or Disneyworld would be with a bergen full of C4, plenty of det cord, and sufficient initiators. Disney churns out toxic pabulum under the guise of "wholesome family entertainment" which is such a grotesque mis-framing that the only equivalent I can think of would be current Kremlin propaganda about how Russian culture must "save the world" (presumably by raping, mutilating and murdering everyone they can get their hands on). Disney presents a repellent picture: all prozac-addled characters who appear to be suffering from extreme mental retardation, and "role models" that no sane adult would ever wish their child to mimic. It is, in short, a condensation of so much that is very wrong with US culture and as such is to be abhorred rather than indulged.
