According to statistics 90% of US couples fear sharing their sexual fantasies with their partners for fear of being judged. As the US is such a sexually repressed society, that’s probably a reasonable fear. I’m not sure there’s a double standard so much as a US-wide terror of sexuality that ensures everyone judges everyone else harshly unless your fantasy happens by sheer chance to be theirs also.
