Actually, none of the supposed impacts cited in this article would occur. Let's begin with satellites. GPS satellites are LEO (low Earth orbit) and would be largely unaffected. Geostationary satellites are already far from the Earth's magnetic field and already withstand solar radiation without problems. As for phone & internet, the vast majority of traffic (today around 97%) is carried by undersea cables and would likewise be unaffected.

Rates of skin cancer are far more impacted by behavior than by the amount of UV reaching sea level, and so here too the impact would be negligible.
