Actually, the drone attacks have made no difference at all. If Russia attacked NATO air bases they'd use missiles and as NATO leaves its aircraft out on the apron just like Russia does, those aircraft would be destroyed by conventional means. Likewise, if NATO ever found a spine, it would destroy Russian aviation assets with conventional weapons.

Ukraine is forced to use drones because NATO denies Ukraine the right to utilize long-range weapons systems to strike legitimate military targets inside Russian territory. NATO is terrified this would cause Putin to escalate and... invade a neighboring country. Our pathetic stupidity is Putin's greatest asset, and drones make no difference in this particular equation.
