Ah, if only qualification-free representative democracy, in which any moron can stand for election and any moron can vote, didn't produce the inevitable outcomes: ignorant spineless morons as "leaders" incapable of recognizing, much less addressing, existential threats. The reason Russia will ultimately crush Europe is not because Russia is strong - obviously, it's a basket-case - but because we're asleep at the wheel and content to remain that way in the belief nothing will ever prevent us from cramming more slop down our throats while we gawp at a never-ending stream of mindless entertainments as the world burns around us.
