Alas, I rather suspect your prediction of "peak MAGA" is wildly optimistic. Yes, the US Nazis failed in the 1930s, but not because of strong domestic opposition. They failed only because Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and thus brought the USA into a war against the Axis. Glib patriotism trounced self-indulgent fascism (though Ford and Kennedy continued to be supporters, and GM successfully got the US government to pay for bomb damage to its German factories post-war despite those factories having churned out thousands of armored vehicles for Nazi forces to use to kill US soldiers).

Today there is no alternative to MAGA. Regular Republican politicians are spineless; the great mindless hordes of waddle know-nothings adore Trump because he's just as stupid and vile as they are. And where there are votes to be had, there are politicians prepared to abase themselves to any degree necessary to win those votes. Meanwhile the Democratic Party remains in a perpetual state of utter cluelessness, like a bunch of old women in a knitting circle arguing furiously over what sort of finger-sandwiches to make while Abrams tanks smash through the walls with all guns blazing.

The USA is over. Period.
