All "inspirational" business books are hokum. Whether they're In Search Of Excrement or From Good To Grate they all contain spurious examples and bogus "lessons" but - they are always successful. Because people want simple stories and people want hope. As Elizabeth Arden said of her cosmetics company, so too can business-book authors say of their febrile tomes. And just like with cosmetics, anyone who buys a business book thinking they'll receive anything of value is simply trading hard cash for empty hope.
