An amusing and informative article, Sam. While it's certainly true that the typical US citizen consumes far too much meat (hence 86% are fat and an astronomical 40% are obese) it's also true that red meat in small quantities provides iron and B12, both essential for normal human metabolism as we're obligate omnivores and depend on a wide variety of inputs to maintain optimal health. In other words, the occasional lean cut of beef, bison, lamb, or venison is actually healthy. A constant diet of McSlop, however, is precisely the opposite and leads to a wide range of deficiency diseases, not to mention hypertension and Type II diabetes.
