Appeasement won't work, so all the suggestions in this article are foolish. It's clear Putin understands psychology far better than anyone in the West. By threatening to use nuclear weapons, he's defeated in advance any NATO willingness to protect the Baltic states. They will undoubtedly be crushed next, once Putin has pacified Ukraine - which won't take long, just as it didn't take long to crush Hungary in 1956, to crush Czechoslovakia in 1968, and to crush Poland in 1980. My guess, for what little it is worth, is that Putin will move on the Baltic states around 2025 when the orange cretin Trump is back in the White House. It will be interesting to see if China invades Taiwan around the same time.

Either way, Putin's insane little bout of megalomania is far from over, and it is clear the future of Europe is much darker than ordinary people yet realize.
