As California already has far too many people (hence the insane cost of accommodation) it's very important to tell people living elsewhere that they exist in paradise and California is full of earthquakes, ultra-wokists, and unaffordable housing. That way, the current situation in the Golden State won't get any worse. As it is, I lived in the Bay Area for 30 wonderful years but could never afford to return now.
