As I don't really understand why ordinary people seem to need to spend so much time on vacuous social media platforms, X (formerly Twitter) has always been for me a complete irrelevance. Surely all that is required is for people to leave the platform until its entire user base is a handful of cranks, crackpots, and other mentally damaged individuals for whom X is slightly less onerous than scrawling obscenities on toilet stall doors? In other words, why not simply ignore what is obviously a dying platform? It's easy to do, after all. X only matters because ordinary people think it does; change the perception, and X vanishes into oblivion and Musk deservedly loses $44 billion.
