As our ape-brains are evolved to cope best with very simple ideas, we’re perpetual suckers for trash like “Seven Habits Of…” and “Five Love Languages” as well as hoary old perennials such as “Men Are From…” The reality, of course, is that human complexity can’t be captured in trite formulations or banal observations. Your article demonstrates nicely the fact we’re a lot more complex and our needs and motivations can’t be reduced to simple-minded monotonic concepts.
