As "porn" is an all-encompassing term it's inevitable that some will be disturbing, some will be harmful, some will be enlightening, some will be healthy. Anti-porn campaigners will obviously select examples of the former while pro-porn campaigners will select examples of the latter. It would be more helpful to recognize that as best as we can tell from archeological evidence, all human societies attempt to represent sexuality because of its powerful emotional and psychological connotations. So the focus should be on ensuring it's as useful to society as possible, rather than pretending it's an aberration unique to our supposedly degenerate time.
