British people deserve what's coming to them. Not only did a slender majority vote for national suicide in the original referendum despite it being patently obvious that the Brexit claims were 100% infantile lies, but the Brits then voted repeatedly for Brexit by voting for Tory politicians. The only Party that stated plainly its intention to revoke Article 50 was wiped out in the last General Election. Thus the Brits really deserve to be thoroughly screwed by US corporations and any other group of exploititive cynics who amble along. Democracy, after all, means that ignorant bigoted stupid people can vote for insane self-destruction. And as we're repeatedly told that representative democracy is the ne plus ultra of all possible approaches to governance, it logically follows that Brexit must be the finest and purest expression of British intent. And as the UK cracks apart and the British economy sinks and the Tory government flaunts international law, every other country on the planet can look on. Because there's a very serious lesson to be learned - the same lesson Trump, Modi, Bolsonaro, Putin, Erdogan, Orban, Duterte, et al have been teaching. Maybe representative democracy isn't in reality all that fit for purpose after all....
