Businesses and individuals everywhere are paying the price of our acceptance of revenue-based media reportage. Everyone is convinced SARS-CoV2 will kill them unless they hide in a closet wrapped in cellophane and breath through a military-grade respirator. In reality, covid-19 is very difficult to catch. After an entire year, the global total infection number is less than the one-week infection rate of regular flu. Now that doctors have mostly stopped killing up to 80% of their patients by thrusting them into induced coma and intubating them (a very dangerous procedure even at the best of times) the covid-19 mortality rate is barely above that of regular flu. And those countries that have managed to test nearly 100% of their populations have reported that 91% - 93% o people experience no symptoms at all. This is all data taken from the WHO website, so it's public and easily accessible. But news organizations are all about sensationalism, so ordinary people have a totally distorted notion. Meanwhile, gyms close and so people can't stay healthy - the precise opposite of what one ought to be doing in such a situation. As for "catching covid" from physical contact, a recent German study of 23 symptomatic patients showed no traces of virus on door handles etc. despite these being touched dozens of times per day by the coughing patients.
