Clearly the Venture Capitalists are going to need much larger funds over the coming century, in order to be able to fund Musk’s increasingly absurd ideas. If 50,000 missions will be required, at let’s say $1 billion a pop, that implies the entire economic system of the Earth will be devoted to this single aim. Seems they left this part out of Star Trek….

Oh, and let’s remember the huge health impacts of all that radiation, low gravity, permanently shut-in living…

Seems like there’s an unbridgeable gap between schoolboy fantasy and hard reality. Musk pretends otherwise, but, let’s face it: it’s easy to fool people with a Big Vision Statement. Just ask WeWork, Uber, Tesla, WebVan, Pets.com, Sell.com….
