Countless revolutions and civil wars have demonstrated that one does not need a majority to usher in violence and chaos; a minority will serve perfectly well provided they are highly motivated. The USA is already finished, but like any large vessel holed beneath the waterline, it takes time to sink. If religionist nonsense were the only existential problem facing the nation, it could be resolved. Unfortunately nearly everything is broken and broken in an inter-connected way. And so, the USA is over and will sink beneath the waves of civil war as mindless pastors and priests babble their nonsense with all the fervor of the true believer - even if they don't really believe it themselves.
