Early in the article an assertion is made that "American women bring more to the table" than American men. Leaving aside the fact the author seems to mean US women (America, after all, includes Mexico and Canada), this assertion is not supported anywhere in the article. I genuinely would be very interested to learn upon what empirical (as opposed to anecdotal) evidence the author bases this assertion. One wonders if a certain amount of cherry-picking has been done regarding what types of data to include in the calculation for maximization of utility...
