Forget Ukraine, Wave A Placard For Gaza
Why lefty-trendies are just as much pawns in Putin’s game of conquest as are the dull-eyed drooling Trumpies
We humans are an amusing species. With our barely-functioning brains we’re always doing the mental equivalent of tripping over our own clumsy feet. And the best part is, we never notice we’re doing it. If there was a technologically-capable intergalactic species out there, we’d be the joke segment on their nightly current affairs program.
The current transiently fashionable performative wokism over Gaza is a case in point. Sure, Israel has consistently flaunted international law by establishing illegal settlements in Palestinian territories (so the USA rewards Israel with unconditional aid). Sure, Israeli forces have murdered unarmed Palestinians including very young children (so the USA rewards Israel with unconditional aid). Sure, Netanyahu has done more than any other person alive to create today’s crisis because, as a smart & stable genius of Trumpian proportions he imagined that having an enemy would enable him to garner votes from the simple-minded (which worked, and so the USA rewards Israel with unconditional aid).
And yes, Israeli troops have devastated already-impoverished Gaza and created a humanitarian crisis.
