Given that all religious belief is a failure of intellect, and given that all religionism is inevitably harmful because it forces the believer to discount reality in favor of incoherent fantasies, it is a very good - and long overdue - thing if Christian mythology is indeed waning in the USA, which has long been an outlier among the OECD. Unfortunately, given the low rates of educational attainment in the USA, it seems unlikely that the country will in fact be able to diminish the harms resulting from millions clinging to simple-minded fairytales in a desperate attempt to find "meaning" in their lives.
