Given that most people waste their lives consuming trash (food and entertainment), and given that most people live lives of chronic sickness induced by appalling lifestyle choices, and given that most people begin to suffer neurodegeneration in their 70s, it is completely unclear why anyone would think that extending the average human lifespan would be a good idea. What we should be doing is focusing on extending our healthspan - which we can easily do by making more adequate lifestyle choices. Abjure junk (no more McSlop and no more reality TV), exercise daily, keep the mind active by learning new skills. There's no point living even to 50 if your life is spent slumped on the sofa cramming junk down your throat while staring at some mindless entertainment.
