Hello Ben, you may be laboring under a series of misconceptions, which I shall herein attempt to ameliorate. First of all, should you care to engage in the effort, you can take a sample of 10 of my Medium articles and run them through any of the open-source text analyzers to determine the lexical range of my articles. I do restrict myself to more commonly utilized words in order to ensure general comprehension but even so you will find that my articles score in the top 95th percentile for range of vocabulary. This isn’t surprising given that I graduated from Oxford University with a BA and MA in English Language and Literature. Secondly, I have spent far too much time with so-called “conservatives” in the USA to be under any delusion that any effort made on my part to utilize reason in the pursuit of a more adequate discourse would stand any chance whatsoever of being successful.

An indicator of intelligence is to recognize objective reality and not to persist in actions that can have no plausible route to success. It is consequently not my assumption that anything I write is likely (a) to be understood by, nor (b) seem persuasive to, such an audience.

I trust this may go some way toward clarifying my intent with, it should be noted, a far greater lexical dexterity than evinced in your own comment upon my article.
