I genuinely can't tell if this is a biting satire or a rather sad "I drank the Kool-Aid!" story. The author writes endlessly about Khosla's always-on working style and the frankly absurdly dysfunctional hours he and his people commit to work, and then hilariously recounts the anecdote about Khosla telling her that "family is the most important thing" and that work-life balance is essential. That's like Stalin telling people the importance of tolerance and respect and truthfulness and a fair criminal justice system. Or like Trump saying that he values truth above all things. On balance, I'm hoping this story was intended as satire...
