I suspect Tinder is best viewed as a source of potentially amusing anecdotes rather than a source of potential in-person meetings. Every once in a while the app screws up and two people actually meet each other in real life and may even enjoy one another’s company, but such instances rarely provide a satisfactory effort-to-anecdote ratio unless the date is a huge and very colorful catastrophe.
