I think we actually face a much more difficult problem than the one part-elucidated in this article. The author, being intelligent, assumes that more adequate reasoning would be welcomed. In fact, we humans are herd animals and want to act in whatever way we see others around us acting. So an objectively wrong - even catastrophically wrong - answer embraced by the herd will be infinitely more acceptable than a correct answer rejected by the herd. Social pressure, therefore, will combine with technology to amplify the consequences of our innate cognitive limitations. I'm not sanguine about the future.
