I'd disagree a little with the proposition that it doesn't much matter how many partners a person has had. If - and it's admittedly a very big if - someone is capable of listening and learning from experience, then the more partners they've had the more likely they are to be not only more interesting in bed but also far more interesting outside of it. Having a lot of prior sexual experiences often correlates to having a greater independence of mind and being less likely to be trapped in some cultural stereotype or another. This is why I prefer my partners to be much more experienced than average - it makes them more interesting people, and therefore much more attractive all round.
