I'd like to see an article addressing the phenomenon of redshift with greater precision. The stock explanation is that the expansion of spacetime "stretches" the photon as it travels, but this explanation is (a) only one of 3 components involved, and (b) may be incorrect. Therefore the topic deserves a careful exegesis.
