If anyone thinks they can make poor lifestyle choices and then compensate by taking any kind of supplement or medication, they’re looking at things the wrong way. We know vitamin C is used by the body for various forms of tissue repair, and so it needs to be part of our diet (in the right daily quantity) just as lots of other molecules need to be part of our daily diet in order for us to be healthy. C isn’t a cure for anything, it’s simply an essential nutritional intake because we don’t synthesize it internally but we do need it, so we have to obtain the right amount in our diet.
