If we believe that government by empty slogan is "working" then yes, wasting hundreds of millions of pounds of taxpayers' money is indeed a grand success. As for "no one knows" what Brexit will be like, that's a dubious proposition. It's always been clear to anyone who bothered to think about it that the UK will crash out of the EU with no deal, because Boris & Co have always been utterly clueless and delusional with regards to the whole business of negotiation. It’s all moronic posturing with zero thinking, which is why the UK has become an international laughing-stock.
The problem with electing clowns is that they are excellent at slapstick and at falling over in an amusing heap, but abysmal at attempting to be a real government doing important and serious things.
One thing we can be sure about, however, is the final slogan history will confer on the whole sorry mess, which will be Brexit: A Titanic Success.
