I’m a privileged white male and yet I’ve also experienced the “intimidating” label. Here’s my take: anyone who’s got a functional frontal cortex and who doesn’t automatically parrot whatever happen to be the pop memes of the day and who stands up for what they believe is right rather than going along with the herd will, regardless of gender or orientation or political affiliation, scare the living crap out of everyone around them.
