I’m afraid that arguing over points of detail is irrelevant. The Republican Party has committed itself to totalitarianism; nothing else matters. The typical US citizen is so ignorant and so lacking in curiosity that this important fact will go largely unnoticed. The USA is finished; all that is left is the descent into horror and, ultimately, civil war. All because flabby stupid old white men thought they were being “clever” in their abject supplication to the drooling howling dull-eyed mob of Trump voters.

This is how democracy always ends. Let’s hope next time around, a few people are smart enough to engineer a system that is far more fit for purpose.
