I'm cautiously optimistic that Eire and Northern Ireland will slowly grope toward a Swiss-style federation and thus enable NI's population to re-enter the EU from which they were torn against their will by the dullards in England and Wales who flushed the UK down the Brexit toilet in exchange for two mindless empty soundbites. As for Scotland, if any SNP politicians had any brains at all they'd realize they have England over a barrel - the south needs the electricity Scotland's coastline and hills can provide (generation & storage for release when needed) and the south also needs the nuclear sub base at Faslane, which could be leased in return for billions that can be spent on developing wind power & dams to store energy for later release & conversion into hydropower. But the SNP appears spectacularly clueless, so Scotland may have to remain shackled to the south for decades to come.
