I’m far from being au fait about dating, especially when it comes to apps, but in general my approach is always to expect nothing. It seems contemporary moeurs are all about speed and convenience and therefore people regard one another as essentially disposable. This makes me sad, but after many decades on this lovely planet I recognize there are 7.4 billion other people and only one of me, so I can’t aspire to change things to suit my preferences.
