I'm puzzled by the phrase "African spirituality." Africa is a vast continent inhabited by thousands of different tribes, each with its own multiplicity of beliefs. There is no more cohesion across Africa than there is across the USA, and indeed less so. Furthermore, arguing that one set of myths is somehow superior to another is akin to claiming that one amoeba is intellectually superior to another. All myths are the consequence of profound ignorance and simple-mindedness; as such we should be aspiring to leave them behind, not attempting to argue the supposed benefits of any of them. That's like arguing the Black Death was a superior plague to typhoid or cholera.
