In addition to the examples you cite, we need to remember that it’s effortless for someone to selectively utilize information so as intentionally to create a distorted impression. Trump does this practically every time he opens his mouth, for example. Police forces do this by selectively releasing information but (illegally) withholding evidence that could be helpful to the defense. And with deep fakes becoming easier with every passing day, even apparently conclusive evidence can be a fabrication.

Unfortunately it seems very few people actually grow up during the post-kindergarten years; they merely grow older. In my 30+ years of experience in corporations large and small I’ve come to the conclusion that 95% of managing a team, group, department, or organization is really just adult daycare.
