In Sweden it’s common to have sex with someone in order to decide whether it’s worth moving ahead and learning more about them, because if the sex isn’t good, why bother? As a very good friend of mine once said, “If you can keep your hands off each other until after you get married, you definitely shouldn’t get married.”

As for people who let ancient tribal myths dictate their behaviors, well… let’s just say, they have a lot bigger problem than just ignorance about sexual intimacy.
