It seems a little unfair, when a nation elects a circus freak to the White House, to complain thereafter about the comedy show that so many of US voters evidently wanted. Sure, the clown may be pathetic, but he’s the clown they invited to perform at the party and voters are certain later this year to invite him back for a repeat four-year performance.
