It seems there is no end of uninformed breathless naive commentary on how human-AI must be the future of humanity. Presumably implants will be performed while everyone is zipping off to Mars. For some reason, few remember all the Flash Gordon predictions that never came to pass, and fewer still think carefully about why this was so. I'm hoping we move on to a new hype soon because these AI/Mars/Musk fantasies are far too tedious to endure.
