It's always difficult to know how much materiel Russia can source from third parties, given the vast reserves of dollars it can deploy. Moreover, China may not be beyond covertly supplying Russia with supplies as well. It would be unwise to assume that Ukraine, always getting far too little far too late from the West, will be able to withstand even a moderate Russian assault. Had we provided adequate weapons and munitions on time (e.g. a year ago) the situation would be very different, but we have consistently been spineless, complacent, and downright stupid. So the situation is much more dire than this article indicates.
