It's astonishing how easily people's sentiments are influenced by headlines. Presently, people seem to think that the decision to send a small number of Western tanks is a big deal. In reality, the tanks are far too few in number, there's no mention of ammunition (which is actually the most important factor - tanks with nothing to fire from their barrels aren't much use to anyone), and most pertinently of all, they will arrive a year too late. As always, we seem to think wordy PR matters more than action, and as always, Ukrainians are paying the price for our perpetual posture of too little, too late.
