It's astonishing how tired and entirely discredited old Kremlin talking-points continue to be recycled, either by cynical pro-Russian trolls or by people who are so ignorant and stupid that they don't realize they are totally unable to grasp the reality of the situation in Ukraine. Infantile notions of anti-Western faux anti-colonialism sometimes lead people in less developed nations to embrace pathetic lies provided those lies are vaguely anti-Western. Russia knows this very well, and takes advantage of such dupes.
