It's difficult to make all-or-nothing statements about human behavior without taking circumstances into account. From my own experience, women in countries that are fortunate enough to exist in a low-threat state prefer androgenous men - the speculation is that this reduces their probability of becoming victim to domestic abuse. But in moderate or high-threat environments, women definitely prefer tall strong men - the speculation is that this creates reduces risk of assault by other men.

In most OECD countries, given that now a huge majority of the population is fat, most women find fit men attractive but they trigger insecurities ("oh my god, what would he think if he saw me naked!?") which result in the avoidance of dating fit men. So while very few women masturbate to pictures or thoughts of flabby men, most end up in relationships with flabby men because (a) this is less threatening to one's own self-image, and (b) there are so few fit men available.
