It's easy to write articles about a situation one doesn't have any knowledge of, and this article clearly falls into that category. First of all, there's the absurd idea that NATO is involved in the war in Ukraine. I wish it were true - NATO could have crushed Putin's potempkin military back in March 2022 - but the reality is that NATO has remained idle. Western politicians make windy speeches but nothing much happens. As for the much-talked-about-but-never-actually-seen F-16s, we're 28 months into Russia's unprovoked invasion and where are they? Oh, yes: nowhere. So NATO is not in a position of "we can't lose" because NATO is fast asleep. What will really happen is that NATO will simply evaporate after Russia conqueres Ukraine and then invades the Baltic nations. Therefore, WWIII cannot and will not happen. Yes, the West will collapse. We see that already as Kremlin-sponsored ultra-right and ultra-left political Parties increasingly gain power and influence thanks to the folly of representative democracy, but that doesn't mean WWIII. It just means a return to the inter-nation squabbles and small conflicts that Europe endured for 1,500 years prior to this most recent period of unusual peace and stability. So predictions of global war are false. Equally, when China invades Taiwan and establishes hegemony over Asia, the USA will simply pretend nothing of importance has happened. Thus, no matter what the scenario, WWIII will not occur. We will just grow steadily poorer, steadily more obese, and steadily more self-harming. Because that's what ordinary people always do when given the chance to get what they want.
