It's misleading to write about someone's "demise" when it's a near-certainty they'll be re-elected as President in 2024. The fact is the USA has no appetite for prosecuting Trump and the Supreme Court (packed with far-right judges) would annul any conviction upon appeal. Moreover, 74 million Republican voters have drunk the Kool-Aid and don't care about his crimes (including high treason). They will vote for him even if he releases videos showing him fucking Ivanka and shooting babies. These are people who are incapable of revising their mindless opinions, because easy-to-chant soundbites are the apex of their intellectual capacity. As such, they will "patriotically" continue to ensure the USA remains firmly on its path to tyranny, and they will cheer every step of the way.
