It's true we are in an accidental fear conditioning experiment, but unfortunately the author has bought into the conditioning rather than looking at facts. While the sensationalism of the mass media is gleefully context-free, context shows us clearly that everything the media is telling us is incorrect. Here's what we know from hard facts: even the worst-hit nations have experienced a per capita mortality rate of well under one-tenth of one percent. We know that very few people will die as a result, yet we've created economic and social catastrophe. This is pure fear; reason has been strikingly absent.
