I've been remote working for the last couple of years, and intend to continue - the only question is when certain countries will resume processing long-stay visa applications. Personally I love the time offset; working for a US client on US east coast hours means in Europe I don't begin work until after 14.00 and this leaves the morning free for a run, gym time, shopping, a leisurely lunch, and then - and only then - down to work. As I haven't owned a TV for more than 30 years and have little interest in ephemeral entertainments, working each evening isn't a problem.
