Jack, what about mundane issues like Internet connectivity? It's not always easy to know in advance whether or not that "guaranteed reliable" connection will in reality make work possible. I've had nightmares even in Europe where rural locations are still often Internet-free. Unless you restrict your nomadism to cities or tourist resorts, getting online can still be problematic in a great many parts of the world.
