Loeb clearly is eager to generate some retirement income by writing specious nonsense that is guaranteed to appeal to simple-minded people in droves. While it's an understandable motivation, it's hardly helpful. As always, let's remember that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, of which Loeb presents precisely zero. Any fool can speculate, and lots of other fools can imagine the speculation to be "true" but that doesn't make anyone less foolish. Real science is done by amassing evidence, not by writing silly books.
